Dear fellow golfer,

In 1993 we took the golfer’s dream vacation to Scotland
where they play the game the way they did two hundred
years ago – no carts – you walk the course. After 12
rounds of golf in 10 days wearing ordinary sport
socks, Rick had developed a major league case of
blisters. On our way to play the Old Course at
St. Andrews we knew that Rick had to find some
cushioned golf socks or he was going to miss one of the
highlights of our trip.

In a small Pro Shop, Rick discovered cushioned golf socks
that were “cotton rich” rather than made with synthetic
fibers. They were also different from other cushioned socks
because they had cushioning only where it was needed - over the toes and under the foot – with no extra material to make your feet feel cramped in your shoes. Rick wore a pair of these great socks to the tee at St. Andrews and walked the Old Course in comfort.

As a result of Rick’s experience, in 1994 we launched ON THE TEE and began, first, to import a small line of men’s socks from England and, later, to make both men’s and women’s quality socks in the USA.

We believe that a quality product is one that stands up to active use and provides the customer with value. We have dedicated ON THE TEE to achieving that goal.
